2005-2006 season updates
January 17 — The Trojans ended their season with a 33-30 win over McCallie. Gordon Lee's final dual-match record was 25-1.
January 7 — Gordon Lee suffered its first dual-match loss of the season, falling to Baylor 41-31 in the Tornado Duals at McCallie. GLMS defeated Maryville 66-12, Ocoee 63-15, McCallie 52-23, and Praetorian 36-28 to finish second in the tournament.
January 3 — The Trojans picked up two dual-match wins, pounding North Whitfield 66-6, and beating Westside 47-24.
December 22 — Gordon Lee took home the championship trophy from the Rocket Invitational, held at Westside. The Trojans totaled 196 points to finish ahead of Bagley (183.5) and Westside (174). GLMS produced four individual champions, two seconds, and three third-place winners.
December 17 — The Trojans won the NGAC traditional tournament championship, outscoring runner-up Lakeview 214.5-165.5. LaFayette finished third with 111 points. Gordon Lee had five individual champions, two second-place winners, four wrestlers finish third, and one fourth.
December 10 — Gordon Lee captured the first NGAC duals championship, defeating LaFayette 50-21 in the finals. The Trojans had advanced by winning their semifinal match against Heritage 51-24. Earlier, GLMS had cruised through pool play, beating Lakeview 52-15, LaFayette 48-21, and Ringgold 54-18. Thirty-one wrestlers participated in the tournament for the Trojans.
December 2 — The Trojans beat Rossville 55-11 and crushed Chattanooga Valley 72-3. The JV team beat the Eagles 32-18.
November 29 — Gordon Lee ran its record to 11-0 with a 47-21 win over Trion. The JV team beat Trion 56-42.
November 22 — The Trojans picked up a pair of victories, defeating Rome 69-6 and Lakeview 54-18. The JV team beat Lakeview 36-32.
November 19 — Gordon Lee captured first place in the Trojan Invitational, finishing 16 points ahead of the nearest competition. The Trojans tallied 183 points in the tournament, to outdistance Bagley with 167, Lakeview with 146.5, and Westside with 115.5. Other teams competing were Lake Forest, who finished with 97 points, Ocoee with 86.5, Dade County and Trion with 84, Fort Payne with 79, Eastbrook with 74, Gladden with 42, and Athens with 39.
November 18 — The Trojans improved their record to 8-0 with a sweep of three matches. Gordon Lee opened with a 54-18 win over Eastbrook, then beat Athens 66-9 before finishing with a 54-20 win over Dade County. The JV team won a pair of matches, beating Athens 48-12 and Eastbrook 64-38, before falling to Dade County 24-18.
November 15 — Gordon Lee beat LaFayette 41-25 and then pounded Heritage by a 70-6 score.
November 11 — The Trojans opened their season by winning three matches. Gordon Lee opened by downing Silverdale 63-9, then knocked off Ringgold 60-12. GLMS finished the night by defeating Bagley 33-31.
