Wrestlers finish third in NGAC

The Gordon Lee wrestling team finished third in the North Georgia Athletic Conference tournament held Saturday, December 20. The Trojans amassed 135 points to finish behind co-champions LaFayette and Ringgold who each totaled 195 points. The Gordon Lee wrestlers, in their first year of competition, beat the established teams of Lakeview, Chattanooga Valley, and Dade County in the tournament.


2003-2004 season updates

December 20 - Gordon Lee finished third in the NGAC wrestling tournament. The Trojans' Nic Elliot (123), Michael Tillison (165) and Chase Jackson (215) finished second in their weight classes. Taylor Pace (86), Manny Hinkle (100), Austin Goodlet (108), and Allen Haney (180) each finished third while Travis Duran (78), Hunter Fuggatt (94), Taylor Sprayberry (115), Tyler Genter (130), Jake Compton (140) and Kyle Farmer (150) all took fourth.

December 16 - Gordon Lee lost to Ringgold 59-18.

December 12 - The Trojans defeated Eastbrook 40-26.

December 9 - Gordon Lee defeated Ocoee 42-24 and Gordon Central 72-6.

December 4 - Gordon Lee lost to Chattanooga Valley 44-30.

November 21 - The Trojans improved their record to 3-1 with a 66-10 win over Dade County.

November 20 - Gordon Lee defeated North Whitfield 42-36.

November 15 - Gordon Lee was one of ten teams to participate in the 1st Trojan Invitational. A total of 130 wrestlers competed during the day. The Trojans' Nic Elliot finished second at 123 lbs. and Allen Haney finished fourth at 180 lbs.

November 11 - Gordon Lee split two matches, picking up its first-ever wrestling win by beating Lakeview 37-36. The Trojans lost to LaFayette 65-12.
