2005 season updates
May 6 — The Lady Trojans took third place in the NGAC Championships with a total score of 83.5 points. The trailed second-place Rossville by only 4.5 points. The team had an excellent showing in field events.
- Mallory Crowder set a new NGAC and GLMS record in pole vault with a winning height of 8-0. Anna Quinn was 3rd in pole vault.
- Kaita McGregor won the discus with a distance of 73-1. Haley Kokoszka finished 3rd.
- Cassidy Phillips placed 3rd and McGregor 6th in shot put.
- Alex Russell was 3rd and Holly Holsomback was 5th in long jump.
- Shauna Gallahar placed 4th and Courtnee Hall 6th in high jump.
In running events:
- Amber Early placed 1st in both the 100-meter (13.5) and 200-meter dash (28.85).
- Gordon Lee's 4x100 team, Gallahar, Lindsay Wiles, Hall, and Early, placed 2nd.
- The 4x400 relay team, Lauren Danford, Kelly Mariakis, McGregor, and Wiles, finished 4th.
The boys' team placed fifth in the NGAC Championships. The Trojans also turned in an outstanding performance in field events.
- Joseph Kennedy placed 1st and set a new NGAC record in shot put with a distance of 44-3. Kennedy had broken the GLMS record with a throw of 46-3 earlier in the season.
- In high jump, Russell Wright placed first with a height of 5-3 while Josh Guthrie tied for 4th place.
- In pole vault, Jackson Bass placed 2nd and Guthrie placed 3rd.
- Jordan Afman was 4th in long jump.
- Kennedy finished 5th in discus.
In the running events:
- Zach Fuller placed 3rd in the 800-meter run.
- Jordan Afman tied for 4th place in the 100-meter dash.
- The 4x100 relay team of Wright, Josh Elliott, Afman, and Guthrie placed 5th.
April 18 — The Lady Trojans were second and the Trojans third in a four-way meet at LaFayette. Event winners were Kaita McGregor in the shot put and discus, Shauna Gallahar in the high jump, Amber Early in the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash, and Joseph Kennedy in the shot put.

April 15 — The girls' team finished third and the boys finished fourth in the annual GLMS Invitational track meet.

April 12 — The Trojans tied for first in a three-way meet. Event winners for Gordon Lee were Jordan Afman in the long jump and 100-meter dash, Joseph Kennedy in the shot put, and the 4x100 meter relay team. The Lady Trojans finished second in the meet. Winners for the girls were Amber Early in the 100 meters and 200 meters, and the 4x100 relay team.
