Lady Trojans win NGAC again
The GLMS Lady Trojan basketball team won its second straight North Georgia Athletic Conference tournament championship on February 9 by defeating Dade County 36-31. Gordon Lee had advanced to the championship game by beating Rossville in the tournament's first round and eliminating Lakeview in the semifinals.
The tournament title was the third for the Lady Trojans, who had previously won their fourth regular-season championship by posting a 13-1 record in NGAC league games. The team's overall record of 17-1 established a new GLMS record for most wins in a season.
Five Lady Trojans selected All-NGAC
Lady Trojan basketball players Kendall Johnson, Lexis Robertson, and Sam Taylor were recognized as members of the girls' All-League team at the end-of-season awards ceremony February 9 at Rossville. Kelsie Bickett, Courtney Towns, Johnson, and Robertson were selected to the All-Tournament team. Johnson was chosen as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Feb 9 The Lady Trojans beat Dade County 36-31 to win their second consecutive NGAC tournament championship.
Feb 8 Gordon Lee advanced to the NGAC tournament finals for the third straight year with a 36-16 win over Lakeview.
Feb 4 The Lady Trojans defeated Rossville 58-7 in the first round of the NGAC tournament.
Feb 1 Gordon Lee blitzed Heritage 25-2 in the first quarter and went on to defeat the Lady Generals 54-15.
Jan 29 The Lady Trojans clinched their second consecutive NGAC regular-season championship with a 41-6 win over LaFayette.
Jan 25 Dade County hit a free throw with 12.7 seconds to play, part of a 21-9 advantage at the line, to hand Gordon Lee its first defeat of the season, 36-35. The JV team lost to the Lady Wolverines 28-19 to finish its season with a record of 7-6.
Jan 22 After Ringgold closed to within nine points at the beginning of the third quarter, the Lady Trojans went on a 17-0 run to break open an eventual 52-24 victory.
Jan 18 Gordon Lee beat Chattanooga Valley 42-14. The JV team defeated the Lady Eagles 29-19.
Jan 15 The Lady Trojans opened with a 20-0 run on their way to defeating Lakeview 39-10.
Jan 12 The JV team scored with less than ten seconds remaining to knock off Chattanooga Christian 31-29.
Jan 11 Gordon Lee dominated its game against Rossville, winning 60-5. The JV team rallied from a big early deficit but lost to Westside 24-16.
Jan 8 The Lady Trojans beat Heritage 44-15 to finish the first half of their NGAC schedule with a 7-0 league record. The JV team lost to Westside 29-23.
Jan 5 Gordon Lee posted a big 52-27 win over Chattanooga Christian. The JV team also defeated the Lady Chargers, winning 34-9.
Dec 17 The JV Lady Trojans led late in the third quarter but Ringgold broke away for a 38-25 victory.
Dec 15 The JV team knocked off Chattanooga Valley 21-9.
Dec 14 Gordon Lee ran by LaFayette 41-22. The JV team could not hold a late lead and lost to the Lady Ramblers 23-20.
Dec 11 The Lady Trojans beat Dade County 36-32.
Dec 8 The JV team held off a late rally and defeated LaFayette 25-24.
Dec 7 Gordon Lee improved its record to 4-0 with a 40-15 victory over Ringgold. The JV team lost to the Lady Tigers 36-28.
Dec 4 The Lady Trojans jumped to a 20-2 lead after one quarter and went on to a 43-12 win over Chattanooga Valley.
Nov 30 Gordon Lee knocked off Lakeview 32-16. The JV team rallied for a 21-13 win over the Lady Warriors.
Nov 27 The Lady Trojans opened their season by defeating Rossville 73-8. The JV team also defeated the Lady Bulldogs, winning 36-2.
