Trojan baseball team finishes second
The Gordon Lee baseball team, runners-up in the North Georgia Athletic Conference regular season, finished second in the NGAC tournament completed May 7. The Trojans defeated Rossville in the tournament's first round and LaFayette in the second round before losing to Ringgold in the League Championship Series.
Nick Elliott, Jacob Groce, and Zeb Mathis were named to the All-League team and Zach Debord, Justin Owens, and Chris York were listed on the All-Tournament squad.
2004 Season Updates
May 7 - Gordon Lee dropped two games in the NGAC Championship Series to Ringgold. The Trojans lost the first game 13-8 and then saw their season end with a 5-4 loss.
May 6 - The Trojans knocked off LaFayette 8-6 to advance to the NGAC Championship Series.
May 3 - Gordon Lee defeated Rossville 7-2 in the first round of the NGAC tournament.
April 27 - Gordon Lee beat Lakeview 8-2. The Trojans finished the regular season in second place in the NGAC.
April 23 - The Trojans defeated Gladden 5-4 in 10 innings.
April 20 - Gordon Lee lost to Dade County 7-5.
April 17 - The JV team claimed the Lakeview Tournament championship, defeating Chattanooga Valley 12-0 and Dade County 12-2. Grayson Chambers and Taylor Cochrane were named to the All-Tournament team. The JV Trojans ended their season with a 9-2-1 record.
April 16 - The varsity team fell to Ringgold 7-3. The JV team defeated Ringgold 17-3.
April 3 - The JV team played two games in the Lakeview tournament, an 11-11 tie against Lakeview in a game called because of time, and a 10-7 victory over Ringgold.
April 2 - Gordon Lee swept Rossville in a doubleheader, winning 13-3 and 6-2.
April 1 - The JV team defeated Lakeview 5-2.
March 30 - The Trojans beat Westside 10-5 in a non-league game.
March 29 - The JV team shut out Dade County 10-0.
March 26 - Gordon Lee swept a doubleheader from Chattanooga Valley, the varsity winning 10-7 and the JV winning 11-1.
March 23 - The Trojans won over LaFayette 6-5 in a time-shortened affair.
March 22 - The JV team lost to Dade County 13-5.
March 19 - Gordon Lee defeated Dade County 7-5. The JV team lost to Lakeview 6-5.
March 18 - The JV team beat Ringgold 11-7.
March 16 - Gordon Lee fell to Ringgold 10-0.
March 12 - The Trojans lost a narrow 3-2 decision to Lakeview.
March 11 - The JV team defeated Chattanooga Valley 15-0.
March 5 - Gordon Lee beat Chattanooga Valley 6-1.
March 4 - The Trojans opened their season with a 10-9 win over LaFayette.
