2009 season updates
Apr 23 The Lady Trojans' season ended with a 3-1 loss to Mt. Paran in the first round of the state tournament. Kelyse Mauldin got the win for Gordon Lee.
Apr 15 The Lady Trojans finished second in the Region 6-A tournament, falling to Darlington 3-0 in the finals. The girls defeated Trion 3-2 in the semifinals, getting wins from Allison King, Victoria Anderson, and the team of Savannah Kelley-Brenna Nation. The Trojans' season ended in the first round of the tournament with a 3-2 loss to Trion. The doubles teams of Blake Blevins-Evan Krajesky and Dexter Kapur-Drew Russ won for Gordon Lee.
Apr 3 The girls' team wrapped up the #2 seed in the upcoming Region 6-A tournament with a 5-0 blanking of Bremen. Allison King, Kelyse Mauldin, Victoria Anderson and the tandems of Kali Baker-Jennifer Eberhardt and Savannah Kelley-Brenna Nation all won for GLHS. The boys' team lost to Bremen 5-0.
Apr 1 The Lady Trojans improved to 2-1 in region play with a 4-1 win over Trion. Allison King and Victoria Anderson won in singles and the teams of Kali Baker-Jennifer Eberhardt and Savannah Kelley-Brenna Nation won in doubles. The Trojans lost to the Bulldogs 3-2. GLHS got doubles wins from Blake Blevins-Evan Krajesky and Dexter Kapur-Drew Russ.
Mar 26 The girls' team lost to Darlington 4-1. Victoria Anderson was the only winner for GLHS. The boys' team fell to the Tigers 5-0.
Mar 23 The Lady Trojans beat Excel Christian 4-1 in their region opener. Allison King, Kelyse Mauldin, and Victoria Anderson won singles matches and the pair of Savannah Kelley-Brenna Nation rallied for a doubles win. The Trojans fell to the Eagles 3-2. The doubles teams of Blake Blevins-Evan Krajesky and Dexter Kapur-Drew Russ got the wins for GLHS.
Mar 20 The girls' team shut out Dade County 5-0. Allison King, Kelyse Mauldin, and Victoria Anderson were victorious in singles while the teams of Kali Baker-Jennifer Eberhardt and Savannah Kelley-Brenna Nation won doubles matches. The boys' team beat the Wolverines 3-2. Daniel Smith won in singles and the teams of Blake Blevins-Evan Krajesky and Dexter Kapur-Drew Russ won in doubles.

Mar 18 The girls' team swept Ridgeland 5-0. Allison King, Kelyse Mauldin, and Victoria Anderson won singles matches while the teams of Kali Baker-Jennifer Eberhardt and Savannah Kelley-Brenna Nation picked up doubles wins. The boys' team defeated the Panthers 3-2. Daniel Smith and Daniel Mize recorded wins in singles and the pair of Blake Blevins-Evan Krajesky clinched the match with a doubles victory.
Mar 11 The Trojans got wins from Daniel Smith in singles and the teams of Blake Blevins-Evan Krajesky and Dexter Kapur-Drew Russ in doubles to defeat Northwest Whitfield 3-2. The Lady Trojans lost to the Lady Bruins 3-2. Kelyse Mauldin and Victoria Anderson picked up the two wins for GLHS.
Mar 10 The team of Dexter Kapur-Drew Russ won a pair of tie-breakers in the decisive match to give the Gordon Lee boys a 3-2 win over Dalton. Blake Blevins-Evan Krajesky also won in doubles and Daniel Smith won in singles. The girls' team beat Dalton 5-0. Allison King, Kelyse Mauldin, and Victoria Anderson swept the singles while the teams of Kali Baker-Jennifer Eberhardt and Savannah Kelley-Brenna Nation won doubles matches.
