Softball team wins Region title
The GLHS softball team won its third consecutive Region 6-A championship on October 14 with a 2-1 victory over Bowdon. The Lady Trojans had lost to Bowdon in the first round of the tournament, but came back through the loser's bracket, defeating Bremen and Trion, before beating Bowdon twice for the championship.
Gordon Lee followed up with three wins in the North Sectional and advanced to the State Finals in Columbus, where they finished third.

2005 season updates
October 29 — Gordon Lee's season ended with a 1-0 loss to Jefferson in the loser's bracket finals of the State Tournament. The Lady Trojans finished third in the state with a record of 27-11-1.
October 28 — The Lady Trojans lost to Bowdon 3-1 in the winner's bracket finals of the State Tournament.
October 27 — Gordon Lee advanced to the winner's bracket finals of the State Tournament with a 10-0 win over Savannah Country Day and a 6-0 victory over Pacelli. Kaity Holloway extended her personal no-hit streak to four consecutive games as she struck out 34 in the two games.
October 22 — The Lady Trojans advanced to the State Tournament by beating Eagle's Landing Christian Academy 4-0 in the North Sectional. Kaity Holloway pitched Gordon Lee's third consecutive no-hitter, allowing only two walks.
October 21 — Gordon Lee won a pair of games in the North Sectional tournament without allowing a hit. The Lady Trojans exploded for 17 runs in the first inning in an 18-0 rout of Our Lady of Mercy as Callie Gee pitched a no-hitter. Krista Goodlet, Kaity Holloway, and Shauna Gallahar all had two hits in the game. In the second game, Holloway tied a season high with 18 strikeouts in pitching a perfect game as Gordon Lee beat Commerce 8-0. Maddie McKinley was 3-for-4 with a home run and 4 RBIs to lead the GLHS attack.
October 14 — The Lady Trojans won the Region 6A championship with a 2-1 victory over Bowdon. Krista Goodlet singled with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to score Jordan O'Neal from second with the winning run. O'Neal had walked to lead off the inning and advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Morgan Anderson. Goodlet and Maddie McKinley each had two hits for Gordon Lee. Kaity Holloway struck out 12 in picking up the win.
October 13 — Gordon Lee forced a deciding game in the Region 6A tournament with a pair of 1-0 wins. The Lady Trojans knocked out Trion in the loser's bracket finals, then avenged their loss in the tournament's first round by beating Bowdon. In the second game, a two-out hit by Maddie McKinley in the bottom of the seventh drove home Lacy Perry, who began the inning with a pinch-hit single. Kaity Holloway pitched two complete-game one-hitters, striking out 31 in 14 innings. Holloway also drove home the Lady Trojans' run against Trion.
October 11 — The Lady Trojans stayed alive in the Region 6A tournament with a 1-0 win over Bremen. Jenna Mitchell drove in the winning run with a sixth-inning sacrifice fly. Kaity Holloway pitched a two-hitter and struck out 14.
October 10 — Gordon Lee lost to Bowdon 1-0 in the first round of the Region 6A tournament. Bowdon put together a walk and its only two hits of the game in the top of the seventh to score the game's only run.
October 5 — Bremen rallied with two outs and nobody on in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Gordon Lee 1-0.

October 4 — The Lady Trojans knocked off LaFayette 3-0 on Senior Day. Kaity Holloway allowed only one baserunner while striking out 13, and drove in all three runs with a first-inning groundout and a sixth-inning double. Maddie McKinley tripled in the first and scored, then reached on a bunt single and scored Gordon Lee's final run in the sixth. Senior Morgan Anderson walked to start the two-run sixth, and the Lady Trojans' other senior, Krista Goodlet, sacrificed to advance Anderson and McKinley and set up Holloway's double.
October 1 — Gordon Lee won three games to capture the Silver Division championship in the Milton tournament. The Lady Trojans beat Northwest Whitfield 3-1 and then knocked off Trion and Whitewater by identical 5-0 scores. Kaity Holloway picked up two wins during the tournament, and Callie Gee and Laurie Sieg each registered one victory. Mallary Lee led the Lady Trojans at the plate, hitting .688 for the tournament.
September 30 — In the Milton tournament, the Lady Trojans played to a 1-1 tie with Northwest Whitfield, then defeated Sandy Creek 4-0.
September 29 — Gordon Lee lost to Trion 1-0. Trion pushed across an unearned run in the top of the seventh for the margin of victory. Kaity Holloway allowed only three hits and struck out 14 in the loss. Mallary Lee had two of the Lady Trojans' four hits.
September 24 — The Lady Trojans scored seven times in the first inning in a 7-1 win over Bowdon. Maddie McKinley had two hits and two RBIs during the big inning. Kaity Holloway was the only other player with two hits. Holloway allowed only two seventh-inning hits while striking out 17.
September 20 — Gordon Lee moved its record to 3-0 in region games with a 1-0 victory over Trion. Maddie McKinley homered on the first pitch of the game to provide the margin of victory. McKinley also doubled in a 2-for-3 performance. Lacy Perry added two hits for the Lady Trojans. Kaity Holloway pitched a two-hitter with 18 strikeouts.
September 17 — The Lady Trojans split four games in the Gold Division of the Lassiter tournament. Gordon Lee defeated Kell 8-7, lost to Sequoyah 1-0 in a tiebreaker, beat Evans 3-0, then fell to McEachern 2-0. For the tournament Maddie McKinley was 10-for-19 and Kaity Holloway was 8-for-16. Holloway pitched 23 innings with 41 strikeouts, while allowing only 6 hits. Callie Gee won two games, pitching a total of 9 innings and striking out 9.
September 16 — Gordon Lee won a pair of games in the Lassiter tournament. The Lady Trojans defeated Pope 10-0 as Callie Gee and Laurie Sieg combined for a five-inning shutout. Kaity Holloway struck out 14 in a 5-0 win over Harrison.

September 14 — The Lady Trojans improved to 2-0 in region play with a 10-0 win over Bremen. Gordon Lee banged out 15 hits in five innings, led by Jenna Mitchell who went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI, and Britney Hollis who was 3-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs. Kaity Holloway was 3-for-4 with three RBIs, including a two-run homer. Holloway was the winning pitcher, allowing only two hits while striking out seven.
September 12 — Gordon Lee fell to Union Grove 1-0 in eight innings. Kaity Holloway struck out 13 and walked none, allowing only an eighth-inning single to the top-ranked team in AAAAA.
September 10 — The Lady Trojans opened their region schedule with an 11-1 pounding of top-ranked Bowdon. Gordon Lee scored five times before any were out in the first inning, capped by a grand slam by Shauna Gallahar. Kaity Holloway struck out 13 in the five-inning game, and was 3-for-3 at the plate with 3 RBIs. Britney Hollis added two hits to the 11-hit attack.
August 31 — The Lady Trojans defeated Dade County 1-0. Kaity Holloway pitched a one-hitter with 16 strikeouts and drove in the game's only run with a first-inning triple.
August 23 — Gordon Lee allowed no earned runs but lost to LaFayette 3-0.
August 20 — The Lady Trojans claimed the Silver Division title in the LFO tournament with a 6-0 blanking of Woodland. Earlier in the day GLHS had defeated Ridgeland 3-0 and lost to Harris County 4-0. Maddie McKinley and Kaity Holloway each had two hits in the final game. In the two victories Holloway twirled a total of 12 innings of no-hit ball, striking out 27.
August 19 — Gordon Lee split a pair of 1-0 games in the LFO tournament. The Lady Trojans lost to LFO despite a one-hit, 11-strikeout performance by Kaity Holloway, but bounced back behind a three-hit shutout by Callie Gee for a win over Dade County.
August 13 — The Lady Trojans took advantage of some sloppy fielding by Eagle's Landing Christian Academy to score three second-inning runs in a 3-0 rain-shortened win. Kaity Holloway struck out nine in her first game for Gordon Lee.
