2009-2010 season updates
Feb 27 The Lady Trojans lost to St. Francis 70-64 in the first round of the state tournament. Kendall Johnson led GLHS with 14 points. Holli Brooks scored 13, including the 1,000th point of her career. Anna Quinn added 11 points. Gordon Lee finished the season with a record of 25-2, tying the school record for most wins in a single season.
Feb 20 Gordon Lee won its fourth straight Region 6-A championship with a 52-40 victory over Trion. Lil Bradbury led the Lady Trojans with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Feb 19 The Lady Trojans advanced to the Region 6-A tournament championship game for the eighth consecutive year by defeating Bremen 54-35 in the semifinals. Holli Brooks led GLHS with 19 points.
Feb 15 Gordon Lee got by Darlington 62-58 to finish unbeaten in Region 6-A games for the second straight year. Holli Brooks scored a career-high 27 points for the Lady Trojans.
Feb 9 The Lady Trojans outscored Trion 65-21 in the second and third quarters to blow open an eventual 101-44 win over the Lady Dogs. Holli Brooks led all scorers with 19 points. Alli O'Neal added 16 points for GLHS while Lesslie Bohannon and Kassidy Blevins each scored 14. Kendall Johnson chipped in with 10 points.
Feb 6 Gordon Lee clinched the top seed in the upcoming Region 6-A tournament with a 67-44 victory over Mt. Zion. Lil Bradbury scored 13 points for the Lady Trojans while Holli Brooks added 11.
Feb 5 The Lady Trojans blasted Bowdon 85-33. Lesslie Bohannon had 19 points for GLHS. Holli Brooks added 13 points while Kendall Johnson and Alli O'Neal each scored 10.
Feb 2 Gordon Lee avenged its only defeat of the season, defeating Chattanooga Christian 70-54. Lesslie Bohannon led the Lady Trojans with 16 points. Sam Taylor scored 11 while Holli Brooks and Lil Bradbury added 10 points each. The JV team knocked off the Lady Chargers 55-41.
Jan 26 The Lady Trojans defeated Excel Christian 65-36. Kendall Johnson was the leading scorer for GLHS with 14 points. Holli Brooks added 13 points. Lesslie Bohannon had nine rebounds while Lil Bradbury grabbed eight.
Jan 23 Gordon Lee held Bowdon to only nine first-half points in a 68-29 victory over the Devilettes. Holli Brooks led a balanced Lady Trojan attack with 10 points. Lesslie Bohannon, Anna Quinn, and Lil Bradbury each scored nine.
Jan 22 The Lady Trojans smashed Bremen 75-27. Holli Brooks had a season-high 20 points for GLHS. Lesslie Bohannon added 13 points while Jill Johnson and Lil Bradbury scored nine points each.
Jan 19 Gordon Lee opened a 19-6 lead after one quarter and went on to a 64-44 victory over Darlington. Lesslie Bohannon led the Lady Trojans with 17 points. Holli Brooks chipped in 13 points.
Jan 16 The Lady Trojans edged Mt. Zion 64-61. Sam Taylor had 12 points to lead GLHS. Holli Brooks added 11 points and Kendall Johnson scored 10.
Jan 15 Gordon Lee led 53-23 halftime on its way to a 78-49 win over Trion. Lesslie Bohannon was the high scorer for the Lady Trojans with 17 points. Holli Brooks had 12 points while Lil Bradbury added nine. The JV team won by a 57-12 score.
Jan 5 The Lady Trojans thumped Excel Christian 76-39. Kendall Johnson led GLHS with 16 points. Alli O'Neal had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Dec 30 Gordon Lee won the Comcast Christmas Classic by rallying for a 45-40 win over Sonoraville in the championship game. Sam Taylor led the Lady Trojans with 12 points and Holli Brooks added nine. Kendall Johnson was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
Dec 29 The Lady Trojans beat Coosa 52-36 in the semifinals of the Comcast Christmas Classic. Gordon Lee began the game with a 15-0 run and forced the Lady Eagles into 37 turnovers. Lil Bradbury led GLHS with 11 points. Holli Brooks finished with nine while Sam Taylor added eight.
Dec 28 Gordon Lee opened play in the Comcast Christmas Classic by defeating Murray County 72-41. Kendall Johnson led all scorers with 17 points. Holli Brooks added 16 points. Lesslie Bohannon grabbed 10 rebounds while Anna Quinn dished out six assists.
Dec 18 Gordon Lee ran past Ringgold 77-46. Holli Brooks led GLHS with 15 points. Alli O'Neal scored 11 and Lesslie Bohannon added 10. The JV team defeated the Lady Tigers 58-43.
Dec 15 The Lady Trojans won their Region 6-A opener by beating Bremen 63-46. Holli Brooks led GLHS with 13 points. Kendall Johnson added 12 points while Lesslie Bohannon and Sam Taylor scored 10 each.
Dec 11 Gordon Lee defeated Ringgold 66-47. Holli Brooks led the Lady Trojans with 18 points. Kendall Johnson added 10 points and Sam Taylor scored nine. The JV team beat the Lady Tigers 70-44.
Dec 8 The Lady Trojans led 21-5 after the first quarter and cruised to a 61-41 win over LFO. Kendall Johnson scored 14 points for Gordon Lee. Kelsie Bickett and Anna Quinn each added eight points. Quinn led GLHS with eight rebounds. The JV team blasted LFO 74-14.
Dec 4 Gordon Lee jumped out to a 28-2 lead after one quarter and went on to crush Heritage 79-23. Lesslie Bohannon led the Lady Trojans with 16 points. Anna Quinn scored 15 and Kelsie Bickett added 12 to the attack. Twelve players scored for GLHS. The JV team also had a big win, defeating the Lady Generals 74-29.
Dec 1 The Lady Trojans suffered their first loss of the season, falling to Chattanooga Christian 67-62. Holli Brooks led GLHS with 19 points. Kendall Johnson scored 13 while Sam Taylor added 10. The JV team opened its season with a 51-33 win over the Lady Chargers.
Nov 28 Gordon Lee finished 3-0 in the Dade Tipoff Classic, beating Glencoe 67-61 on the final day. Kendall Johnson scored 18 points, Lesslie Bohannon had 15, and Holli Brooks tallied 11 for GLHS.
Nov 27 The Lady Trojans took a 15-6 lead after one quarter on their way to a 77-68 win over Ider. Kendall Johnson led GLHS with 18 points. Lesslie Bohannon scored 16, Holli Brooks had 14, while Lil Bradbury added 10.
Nov 25 Gordon Lee rallied from a 15-point first-quarter deficit to defeat LFO 66-62 in its season opener. Holli Brooks led GLHS with 18 points. Alli O'Neal added 12. Sam Taylor had four of the Lady Trojans' 21 steals.
