GHSGT Information

Spring 2010

On Monday, March 22, Tuesday, March 23, Wednesday, March 24, and Thursday, March 25, the Georgia High School Graduation Tests will be given to all juniors. In addition to the juniors, a few other students will be retesting in specific areas. Tests will be administered as follows:

Testing will be done upstairs in the Yates Building during 1st block and may continue into 2nd block.

Students Location Teacher
Room 421 Mr. Clendenen
Room 422 Mrs. Sims
Room 423 Mr. McElhaney
Room 424 Mrs. Solmon
Selected students Room 511 Mrs. Hornady
Selected students Career Center Mrs. Elliot

All students should bring two #2 pencils with them to the tests. Students should also bring a calculator if they wish to use one on the science and math tests.

Students are not permitted to use or bring into the testing environment any electronic device that could allow students access to information (e.g., cell phone, PDA, electronic recording or playback device, etc.). Such items brought into the testing environment will be collected by the examiner prior to testing and returned only after students have turned in all testing materials. In the event a student brings such a device into the testing environment but does not have the device out during testing, the examiner and/or proctor will collect the device and allow the student to continue testing.

In the event the examiner determines the student is using the device to share, retain, or access information, the examiner will collect the device, stop testing that student, and remove the student from the testing session. If it is subsequently determined by the Georgia Department of Education that the student did use or intended to use the device to share, retain, or access information, in addition, the test for that student will be invalidated.

Each electronic device incident will vary and will be handled on an individual basis. Only the GaDOE will determine if the assessment should be invalidated.
