Teachers will give an exam at the end of each nine-week grading period. All students must take all exams at the end of the first and third nine weeks. Students meeting the exemption policy below may exempt exams at the end of the second and fourth nine weeks.
Exams count as 20% of the course grade.
In order to exempt an exam, a student must
- Be passing the class for the term
- Have no more than five absences (excused or unexcused justified) and/or tardies in the class for the term
- Have no unexcused absences in the class for the term
- Have not served any days in In-School Suspension during the term
