GLHS Academic Summary

The school day at GLHS is structured around the four by four block. Each block class is 90 minutes long.

Students have the opportunity to participate in advanced classes for college and high school credit in the areas of math and English. Additionally, students many enroll in honors or AP classes in the areas of English, social studies, and math. Because of the block schedule, many students have the opportunity to receive dual seals on their diplomas.

All seniors and some underclassmen have the opportunity to participate in an apprenticeship/internship program that is designed to familiarize students with specific areas of interest as a precursor to choosing a lifelong vocational path.
